Shanklin Town
	Shanklin occupies the southern most position of Sandown Bay.  The town has some of the best beaches on the Island with great facilities on the seafront for people of all ages. Shanklin Old Village and Shanklin Chine are well worth a visit, especially as they are just a 5 minute stroll away from St Georges House.  The pretty thatched cottages and scenery are a great place to while away some time. The main shops are located in Regent Street and High Street and most things that you will need whilst on holiday can be purchased in the town. The "land train" which runs a regular service from the esplanade to the Old Village is great fun.  Buses are also close at hand and offer regular communications to the Island's main towns.
